EASTERN OREGON TRIP (Day 4) – It didn’t take long for Roseburg to take control of their final game on their spring break trip. The Indians faced La Grande at Optimist Field and continued the offensive surge they started yesterday.
Twelve hitters went to the plate for Roseburg in the first inning and seven of them came around to score. The Indians would plate another seven runners in the second inning to take a 14-0 lead at the end of the inning.
Josh Graham started his second game of the year and pitched a perfect three innings. The senior faced the minimum nine hitters and struck out seven in his winning performance. He was replace by Jared Priestley at the completion of the third inning. Roseburg led at the time 16-0 and would go on to win 25-1.
Eleven Indians recorded a hit in the game and head coach Troy Thompson got every player into the action. Graham again led the team with five RBI. La Grande’s Tyson Wicklander had the team’s only hit in the fifth inning.
The Indians will play a make-up game against South Medford to open up league play on Monday. Follwing that North Medford will come to Legion Field for the home opener for Roseburg on Tuesday.
